PENSACOLA’S FOO FOO FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES VENDOR APPLICATIONS, GRANT STRUCTURES AND COVID-SAFE PLANS FOR 2021

Pensacola, FL (January 29, 2021) – Today, Pensacola’s Foo Foo Festival officially announced its plans for its seventh annual events, taking place November 4-15, 2021. Via a virtual kickoff, the Foo Foo Festival committee shared this year’s grant application process, funding structure, and COVID-safe procedures that will be implemented into this year’s festival. While the Foo Foo Festival’s plans for its 2020 events were canceled out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of the Pensacola community and attendees, the highly-anticipated festival will return in November 2021 better than ever before.

In 2021, the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival will once again fund top-scoring grant applicants, with the number of grants to be awarded contingent upon the number of submissions. This year the Foo Foo Festival will provide up to $315,000 in grant funding to selected organizations. Grant applicants can apply for up to $100,000 in grant funding. All organizations, businesses, and community partners are encouraged to participate as “Friends of Foo,” receiving visibility at the 12-day event. The Foo Foo Fest team will continue to monitor developments surrounding COVID-19 leading up to November’s events and will fully cooperate with any instructions heeded for Escambia County by local and state officials and the CDC.
