Brewery Tours, Artfully

Pensacola is full of arts, cultural, historical, and outdoor experiences to keep one’s imagination and time occupied during a visit this fall or winter. And while you’re Vacationing Artfully, you can also appreciate the craft that goes into brewing a delicious and refreshing batch of beer.

Over the last few years, the brewery scene in Pensacola has exploded to include around a dozen breweries – each with their own unique style. So, when planning your trip, be sure to include a few stops along our beer trail for the beer lovers in your group! (Alphabetical order)

Alga Beer Company

An acronym of Alabama and Georgia – Alga is one of the newest breweries in the area. Established by friends who bonded over their passion of brewing, they’ve grown what started as a hobby into a journey that’s the culmination of hard work and impeccable taste. They focus on the classic American-style ales and lagers. Each option is a unique brew sure to please the palette, and another round is the obvious decision at Alga.

Big Top Brewing Company

With Big Top comes big options – in addition to over 20 beer choices they offer a complete in-house food menu. Located right off Palafox Street is one of its four locations. Taco Tuesdays, $6 Burger Day on Wednesdays, and regular music options make Big Top the place to be any day of the week in P-cola.

Gulf Coast Brewery

This microbrewery has a passion for both beer and entertainment. With 23 taps of beer that are made on sight, they also offer a cigar shop with a full walk-in humidor, wine lounge, cigar lounge that resembles an English library, and a brewhouse where there’s usually a ping pong or cornhole match going on between friends.

McGuire’s Irish Pub

One of Pensacola’s more well-known establishments is McGuire’s Irish Pub. In this New York-Irish Saloon-themed 615-seat restaurant, you’ll find a welcoming, good-hearted atmosphere that’s like no other. With ales, porter, and stout on the roster, there’s an option to appeal to any taste and a brew to pair well with any of the excellent food choices offered on the menus. The food alone is worth the trip, and the unique ambiance is the cherry on top.

Odd Colony Brewing Company

A farmhouse-inspired brewery with an emphasis on seasonality, Odd Colony has a heavy focus on lager bier, Saison, and IPA. Their downtown location is a staple of the Pensacola craft beer family, and the service is just as delightful as the libations.

Pensacola Bay Brewery

Since 2010, PBB has been serving up the historic district of Pensacola and welcoming craft beer enthusiasts from all over the world. With over 20 beers on tap and knowledgeable staff that are passionate about quality, their customers receive the best they have to offer with every visit. On Sundays, the taproom features live music, and the patio is always pet-friendly.

Perfect Plain Brewery

Located in the heart of downtown, Perfect Plain Brewing Company was established with the mission to create experiences that make the beer and charm of Pensacola unforgettable. The taproom is focused on enjoying community along with beer, so the space is centered around long communal tables and the entire 10-barrel brewhouse is exposed within the gathering space.

Spahr Brewing

This German pub-style atmosphere is as unique to Pensacola as the spin they put on some of the world’s most traditional beers. Situated in West Pensacola, hopheads of any persuasion are sure to find a choice to their liking in this taproom. There are Belgium and German-style beers, and an Irish red on tap. Additionally, the dog-friendly, large sitting areas inside and out work well with the pool table and reasonable prices.
